Review: Cherry Brandy Lollipop

The sun was shining, the sky was blue, the lawnmower racing (I seriously recommend watching lawnmower racing) was spectacular. What made it more complete, tasting different ice-creams and lollipops whist watching the lawnmowers cause havoc on the track. I decided to try out a flavour I haven’t seen before, cherry brandy flavour. It looked delightfully tasty with the deep burgundy colour. It melted quite quickly so i couldn’t really savour the flavour for too long. On first lick is was very very flavoursome, each bite incredibly juicy. A very summery flavour, very sweet and could of become quite sickly if I had another one. The balance was just right in this lollipop, almost tastes like cherry liquor or cherry cordial, very sweet tasting.

Cherry Brandy Lollipop                    7/10

One was enough for the afternoon, any more would be too much. On the plus side you did get a very bright red tongue afterwards 🙂

August 26 – National Cherry Popsicle Day

National Food Days in New York City

If you thought we were done with popsicle food holidays, you were totally wrong! Like I’ve said before, we inexplicably have a disproportionate number of popsicle-related national food holidays on the calendar. Today’s popsicle flavor of choice is the cherry popsicle, one of the most popular flavors, that always leaves your lips and tongue a bright red and your mouth smiling. There are the easy answers to celebrating this national food holiday: you could head to any local grocery store and pick up the 8-pack of Popsicle brand ice pops and gorge on frozen cherry flavor, but that would lead to no fun, no variety…no imagination! And there’s always the ever-competing and ever-improving two pop giants in Manhattan, People’s Pops and PopBar, who will both undoubtedly have gourmet cherry pops to your heart’s content. But I’ve highlighted both of these great new takes on the popsicle before on the…

REVIEW: Cherry Vimto Ice Lolly

“Seriously Mixed Up”

If people doesn’t know about Vimto (Original) is a fruit based carbonated drink, with grapes and raspberry flavours. This ice lolly is based on their Cherry Vimto carbonated drink which came out a few years ago. It is incredibly juicy with loads of flavours bursting onto your tongue, refreshing with each lick or bite of the ice lolly.

Great for a quick pick me up when the weather is beaming hot on a summer’s day. Was only £1 at Asda for a box of 8 (I think) Same size and shape as a mini milk but packed with juicy goodness.

CHERRY VIMTO LOLLY: 7/10

Needs to be larger in size and it would be perfect.
